ASSP New England Area 26th Annual Professional Development Conference & Exposition

The ASSP New England Area Chapters invite presenters for our annual Professional Development Conference (PDC) to submit proposals for review by the PDC Planning Committee.

Our speakers provide attendees the opportunity to build professional skills and knowledge, tackle and provide solutions to new and existing challenges in the Safety, Health and Environment field, and promote the development of new entrants in our field. The PDC includes a variety of practical and technical programs which include management techniques and soft skills. Examples of popular presentations are case studies, focus on current problems and interactive sessions.

Presentations should be timed to run inside of 60 minutes including the question and answer portion (e.g. 50 minute presentation plus 10 minutes for Q&A).

Each presentation room will have an LCD projector (HDMI connection typical) and screen, lapel or podium microphones as needed. Speakers are required to bring a computer and, if necessary for their session, audio speakers.

How to prepare your speaker application:

1. Please review this video for an overview of Bloom’s taxonomy, which is a requirement for the learning objectives of your session in order to secure IACET accredited CEU. While you draft the text of your session’s learning objectives, you can use this reference from Vanderbilt University, or this reference from ASSP.
2. The title should be between four and ten words.
3. Summarize your experience and background in 250 words or less.
4. Summarize your session topic in 250 words or less.
5. Optional: provide citations for your presentation.
